Freeride Huck-Fest will involve 2 wooden obstacles with jumps or drops at the end. The drops will range from 3 feet to 15+ feet and are for the expert riders in attendance. This event was made to draw attention to the sport of Downhill/Freeride mountain biking in the Southern United States. Many outdoor enthusiasts will be seeing this type of riding for the first time, which is sure to leave a lasting impression. The only Freeride destination in the State is 30 miles West at Hurricane Creek Park, and it has seen tremendous growth and interest in the past two years from riders all over the SE United States. The Alabama Mountain Games would like to expand on this growth and incorporate the sport into the main events at the festival. Professional riders will be doing drops, tricks, and stunts throughout the weekend so keep your eyes open.
