Laissez Funk
It was in a small house in Athens Georgia where warm cozy jams started to emit from the walls. The members of Laissez Funk were webbed together from past and present acquaintances to mold a close knit chemistry that can experienced through the music being created. Bill Bacon and Mark Dykes hail from South Georgia and moved to Athens in August 2008 where they came to find Logan Wallis, who originated in Gainesville, from one of their roommates from the same town. It was all too good to be true until it was all made complete by Matt Shirley, an Athens local who came in and glued the band together to form what is now Laissez Funk. The jazz-funk fusion likings of the band along with deep influences from jam music ranging from dark crunchy funk to happy overtones blend together to form an experience needed to be seen live.
