ThrowdownThrowDown

Throwdown can take place at Ender Hole, King's Bend (Locust Fork of the Warrior) or Lunch Stop and Hawaii 5-0 Rapids (Mulberry Fork of the Warrior River). Locations are rain-reliant, therefore get ready for an early start as we will go where the water is.  This event is formatted similar to the old school rodeo with new school judging.  This combination has been introduced to encourage beginners to compete and give the pros a chance at the cash purse.  For paddlers wishing to compete in the beginner or intermediate spots, there will only be a $10 insurance fee required for competing. During Preliminaries, each competitor has three 1-minute rides.  All 3 rides will be judged and the top eight competitors will move on to finals. During Finals the competitors will be put into the March Madness bracket with 1 vs. 8, 2 vs. 7, 3 vs. 6, 4 vs. 5.  So be consistent and use strategy to be crowned champion.  We will be using the International Freestyle Committee rules so make sure to study the scoring sheet.
